Located just minutes from NC State at Lake Johnson, the Wolfpack Elite outdoor high performance center is being developed through a public-private partnership with the City of Raleigh, with construction expected to begin in 2026.
The centerpiece of the facility will be a championship-caliber Myrtha training pool featuring 10 short-course yard lanes and 8 short-course meter lanes, enabling Wolfpack swimmers to train year-round at both national and international distances in North Carolina's temperate climate.

Myrtha has been the official pool manufacturer for the US Olympic Trials since 2004 and for the Olympic Games since 2008, establishing itself as the global standard for elite competition. This will be the first Myrtha pool in North Carolina.
The pool will be heated year-round, with starting blocks installed for both yards and meters configurations. A poured-in-place rubber deck, branded with Wolfpack Elite logos, along with additional facility branding, will reinforce program identity.

In addition to Wolfpack Elite's commitment to pool improvements, the City of Raleigh has also committed nearly $1 million in upgrades and ADA improvements that will enhance the:
- Heated locker rooms
- Front lobby
- Offices
- Community Room
- Fencing
These upgrades will benefit both Wolfpack Elite and the broader community.
